About Us

A bit of bumf...

Chris McDonald and Matt Statham are a multi-award winning creative team with vast experience in both traditional and new media - and are currently creative directors on Land Rover and Jaguar at Spark44 London.
Their real passion lies in big integrated ideas. Ideas that can truly define clients, that are both innovative and engaging.

Previously they worked at RKCR/Y&R London and prior to that spent a large part of their career at McCann London where they were Creative Directors on several accounts including Xbox, Loyd Grossman, Sharwood’s, Kaspersky Anti Virus and MasterCard Europe, as well as working across all clients generally. They were responsible for creating integrated campaigns for clients of all shapes and sizes with production budgets ranging from 10k to £1.2m.

Chris and Matt have worked together since leaving the School of Art and Design in Newcastle and have craft skills in all areas from traditional media right through to digital media, web, social, mobile, gaming and experiential.

They have worked on many new business pitches, often heading up pitches themselves. Notable pitch wins for McCann London included Toshiba and Kaspersky Anti Virus.

Chris is a bit of a culture buff, and can be seen loitering at just about every key exhibition in the capital. When he’s not in a gallery, he’s either dabbling at painting, at the cinema watching something ‘world’ or ‘arty’, or checking out a band in Camden where he lives. And if he’s not doing any of those things, you’ll probably find him in meditative mood practising qigong on Hampstead Heath or shouting at his beloved Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Beyond advertising, photography, design, typography and film Matt’s other love is motorsport, absolutely anything with an engine. Several years ago he founded the Honda Hornet Owners Club and website and is rumoured to have 2 tuned-up petrol lawnmowers languishing in his garage alongside his beloved Honda Hornet CB600F and a classic MGB V8. If he's not in the garage he'll be throwing himself round country lanes with a GoPro strapped to his head.
